Tim Birtwistle is a professor emeritus of the law and policy of higher education, Jean Monnet chair at Leeds Law School (Leeds Metropolitan University, U.K.) and a former head of school. His main research interests have focused on higher education law and policy with a wide range of publications and papers in the area, inter alia student appeals, dispute resolution, distance learning, university liability, the meaning of “university," mobility, credit transfer, academic freedom, widening participation, trade law and higher education.  Click here to read more about him.

Holiday Hart McKiernan serves as vice president, operations and general counsel for Lumina Foundation for Education. McKiernan directs the Foundation’s legal affairs and also leads Lumina’s exploration of the Bologna Process and the implications of that reform effort on American higher education. She speaks frequently on legal, governance and policy issues concerning nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions.  Click here to read more about her.

Horn is the co-founder and Executive Director, Education of Innosight Institute, a not-for-profit think tank devoted to applying the theories of disruptive innovation to problems in the social sector. He is the coauthor of Disrupting Class: How Disruptive Innovation Will Change the Way the World Learns.
